GETICA CCS representatives in Dialog with the diplomatic environment
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and the Business Environment (METBE) together with TURCENI Energy Complex organised, on 29th of March 2011, the first dissemination session for the Commercial Services representatives in Bucharest, on topics of common interest on energy and climate change issues.
The aim of the event was to present to the foreign audience the Romanian CCS stakeholders, promoters of the technology and of the GETICA CCS Demo Project, in order to identify together our counterpart in all countries focussed on developing a low carbon economy (e.g. scientific experts, industries, officials, R&D etc.); please find here the press release.

The event was officially opened by the welcome speech of Mrs. Tudor Serban, Minister Counsellor and President of the Romanian CCS Inter-ministerial Committee, METBE. Mr. Tudor Serban stressed out the importance of implementing such a technology in the most energy intensive region of Romania – Oltenia and invited the commercial services representatives to cooperation, know-how and best practices transfer between our countries.
The dialog between experts and the audience was moderated by Mrs. Cristiana Ion, Quality Infrastructure and Environment Division Director, METBE and dr. Adrian Stănică, Scientific Director, GeoEcoMar National Institute.
Attendees
The event was honoured by the presence of more than 50 invittees, out of which representatives of the Commercial Services in Romania from 19 countries world wide (Europe, Asia and North America).
Members of the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry and of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and the Business Environment promoted the GETICA CCS Demo Project together with representatives of the Romanian CCS Inter-ministerial Committee, Future Operators (Turceni Energy Complex, National Gas Transport Company Transgaz, National Gas Exploitation Company Romgaz) and members of the Technical Consortium.
Debated subjects atracked the media representatives from TV channels (Realitatea TV, TVR1, B1 TV), press agencies (Hotnews, Newsin, Agerpres), news papers and professional magasines (Ziarul Financiar, Reporter Economic, Adevarul, Focus Energetic, Info Mediu Europa, Financiarul, Soim Press) and Radio Romania Actualitati.
