Dipl. eng. Celestin Alexandru Alexandrescu

Mr. Alexandrescu graduated from Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest - Energetic Faculty, Power Plant section in 1972. Until 1975 he has worked as engineer on duty and deputy of Thermo- mechanical Department at Grozăveşti and Bucureşti Vest CHPP.
Working at IPROMET as design engineer - between 1976 and 1977, he made his coming back in energy industry as Project Manager within Thermo Mechanical Department at ISPE in 1977.
Between 1986-1994, Mr Alexandrescu's professional carrier has been developed through the following stages: specialist engineer within the Investment Department, Strategy and Economical Development Department Electricity Ministry. During this period Mr Alexandrescu has attended management courses, financial and economical assessment of development projects at IROMA.
In 1994 Mr Alexandrescu is appointed ISPE's General Director's counsellor on issues of company development strategy and since 2003 is appointed Civil Engineering Division Director, that has become in 2005, after completion of an internal re-engineering process, the Energy and Construction Division.
In 1996 Mr Alexandrescu has joined the Romanian group that attends every year meetings of the Sustainable Energy Division - UNECE, Geneva. In 2005 he was elected as chairman of the UNECE Ad Hoc Group of Expert on Coal in Sustainable Development.
