Endowment of the Control Room within the National Dispatch Center (NDC)
Brief description:
The building in Bucharest, 16-18, Hristo Botev street, is housing the National Power Dispatch where activities with high impact under the current social and economic conditions are performed.
Considering this fact, the works (focused on architecture and indoor installations) aimed to meet the main current requirements:
- operation reliability;
- hygiene, human health, environment recovery and protection;
- thermal & hydrofugue insulation;
- noise protection;
- fire protection;
- energy savings.
For this purpose, the following have been provided:
- dismantling of upright stainless sections whose fastening system is no longer safe for pedestrians;
- replacing of existing ceramic tiles covering by modern covering, on light metallic structure which besides better aesthetical aspect allows natural ventilation and thermo insulation of outer façade wall - respectively thermal power saving;
- new covering, composite type with aluminum sides to be fitted at various distances against the wall, this way is obtained a raised and dynamic facade, a better and up - to - date visual perception;
- above main entrance to be fitted a dome, made of light sections and aluminium sheet, as to highlight the entrance and provide weather protection;
- the sinter covering in the ground floor area will be cleaned and reconditioned; between ground floor columns a wrought iron protection fenceis provided all over the height, to prevent persons access and standing in the area;
- side-walk will be covered with decorative concrete slabs;
- parking lots associated with the side-walk will be arranged;
- indoor arrangements, replace joinery, sills, blinds, sun shades;
- reconsideration of sanitary, heating, electric, fire warning and video monitoring installations;
- the air conditioning solution has been provided to meet comfort requirements of the client without affecting the facade design, whose aspect and safety against pedestrians represented the main requirement of the project.
