Arrangements of the National Power Dispatch Building
Brief description:
The project included endowment with specific furniture and ensuring a proper environment in the NDC`s Control Room, as well as other adjacent rooms such as Training Room, NDC Head Office, Meeting Room, located at the 2-nd floor of NDC building.
Besides the basic requirement, the contract included other additional works of rehabilitation and repair on NDC building.
The necessity of working out under operation of the decoration arrangement and furniture installation, as well as integral keeping of some previous renovation works performed by the client, required using solution of dry installation decoration (wainscoting).
As the Control Room and the adjacent rooms are separated by glass partition walls, the solution is unitary both from decoration point of view and furniture design, necessary for the required purposes.
The NDC`s Control Room is a special place of work with non-stop activity, high responsibility and maximum solicitation in specific events or maneuvers in installations.
Subsequently, the whole environment was designed to be functional, ergonomic and able to ensure a friendly man-equipment interface.
Considering the importance of the objective and the existing modern equipment (EMS/SCADA, PC, VIDEOWALL), the designers aim was to satisfy the operational requirements as well as the esthetic qualities by choosing proper shapes, materials, colors, fabrics used for the room decoration, furniture and accessories.

Estimated technical performances:
In the NDC`Control Room and the adjacent rooms there were executed the followings:
A. Environment arrangement works:
- repair and rearrangement works on floors (parquet surfaces on the dispatcher`s chairs moving areas);
- wainscotting on the walls and columns;
- central heating devices masking;
- videowall`s decoration, including the fire warning system and clock.
B. Working out of the specific furniture:
- central control desk for 2 work places;
- reserve control desk for 1 work place;
- training control desk (Training Room).
The control desks ensure areas for displays, central units for the process servers, keyboards and mouses, document storage, personnel`s note desk and telephone operator.
The central control desk is provided with areas for printer, intruder survey system and integrated sound system.

- tables and chairs for 10 persons (Training Room);
- PC facilities desk in complete configuration and telephone operator for NDC Chief;
- table and chair for 12 persons in Guest Room.
C. Mounting of special accessories:
- mobile rotative dry erase white board in the Control Room;
- electronin clocks - analogic type - with GPS sinchronization in the Control Room and the Training Room;
- large size document presentation systems;
- vertical sliding dry erase white boards, electrically driver screen (switch and remote control), remote control hung projector and digital projector camera in the Training Room.
