Turceni TPP – Pollution Abatement Project
Short description:
ISPE S.A. is associated with TEPSCO as holder of the contract and LAHMAYER for the implementation of flue gases desulphurization installations at 4 units pertaining to Turceni TPP.
The technical solution consists in mounting an absorber on each unit, as well as a of common installation for limestone milk preparing and o the installation for dry gypsum obtaining and storing it in order to use it further on in constructions fields.
Flue gases with high concentration of SO2 (5600 mg/Nm3 at 6% O2 dry), by means of supplementary gas fans are pushed to the absorbers where they react with the limestone milk resulting clean gases that are evacuated by stacks mounted on absorbers and wet gypsum as secondary product which is evacuated to the ash and slag storage or dry gypsum which will be used in constructions.
The entire process is supervised & controlled by a control room common for all 4 units.
Services offered:
- The analyses of the feasibility studies made by ISPE and SAPROF (Japan);
- The documentation for pre-qualification of the contractor according with the requirements of the financing bank JBIC Japan;
- Basic Engineering for the installation implementing
- Bid Documents
- Negotiations with the companies attending the bid.
- Analysis and approving the designs prepared by the contractor and supervising the works during the execution works period.
Estimated technical performances:
The installation will accomplish:
- Decreasing of the SO2 concentration at stack outlet to 200 mg/Nm3 for 6 % O2 dry;
- Over 98,5% availability;
- Reducing the dust/powder concentration in flue gases;
Estimated economical efficiency:
- Operation according to the conditions imposed by the Environmental Norms which will be in force after December 2010;
- Producing of approximately 21t/gypsum/unit as a secondary product which will be used in constructions.
