Modernization of waste water collecting and treatment system – Ploiesti Municipality

Short description:

ISPE within this project investment developed the followings:

extension of sewerage network in North-East and South areas of Ploiesti Municipality;
works for improving the disharging systems existing in sewerage networks pertaining to C1 main collector;
works for rehabilitation and consolidation of banks pertaining to artificial channel by-passing the town treatment plant which is discharging in Dambul stream.
The design includes the achievement of approx. 16 km of sewerage networks pertaining to 56 streets.
The sewerage networks have diameters ranging between ND 300 – ND 1100 mm provided to be performed of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) tubes respectively PAFSIN (sand insertion glass fibers reinforced polyester) for diameters higher than ND 500 mm.

The works at discharging systems included unsilting works and performance of discharge sills as to ensure theuir good operation,
At the same time it has been considered the elimination of tap waste water discharges (due to household ilegal branches) directly to Dambul stream. To avoid the erosion of right bank of by-pass channel in front of town treatment plant it has been provided embankment protection by placing sand bags.
