Waste water plant modernization - Adjud municipality
Short description:
The feasibility study describes the works necessary for the achievement of water water plant of Adjud municipality.
The plant has been sized considering:
- the standard for the designing of constructions and waste water treatment plants NP 032-1999
- Number of equivalent inhabitants (EI): 26.000
-
Flows:
- Qday-average = 3900 m3/day
- Qday-maximum = 4680 m3/day
- Qhour-maximum = 292.5 m3/h
- Qhour-minimum = 49 m3/h
-
Specific loads per equivalent inhabitant (EI):
- solid matters in suspension – 70 g/EI and day
- CBO5 - 65 g/ EI and day
- total nitrogen– 11 g/ EI and day
- total phosporous – 2,5 g/ EI and day
- Quality parameters imposed by the current standards (NTPA011/2005)
The waste water treatment plant is a compact plant including:
-
mechanical treatment stage
-
biologic treatment stage with active sludge where secondary and tertiary water treatment is simultaneously performed
-
sludge treatment stage
The solution of compact treatment plant ensures the following advantages:
- ensures the required treatment degree by observing the quality conditions imposed for discharging by the standard NTPA 011-2005;
- ensures the required treatment degree by observing the quality conditions imposed for discharging by the standard NTPA 011-2005;
- more efficient secondary settling by installing lamellas;
- using air-lift type pumps or sludge removing pumps through compressed air which are simple, reliable and do not need maintenance; this technology ensures long time wear-less operation;
- using easily detachanble component such as membrane aeration tubes, pumpes and mixers allowing rapid replacement of damaged parts under operation;
- due to high performance technological process no sludge in excess is removed so that sludge treatment costs are cut;
- all equipment are made of stainless steel and no issues related to water or sludge action on components occur;
- the ultraviolet disinfection performed in UV type system is advantageous as compared to chlorination solution which lead to toxic compouns in receiving water environment; the disinfection plant ensures an efficiency up to 99% as far as total coliforms are concerned.
- sludge dehydrating plant ensures volume reduction and the conditions of conveying and storing;
- the process control system ensures plant reliability.
