Extension of electrical substations – Sonelgaz - Algeria
Short description:
The project aim was the enlargement with one transformer cell of 5 electrical substations in Algeria (primary circuits, secondary circuits, grounding installations).
The 5 electrical substations in Algeria are to be extended as follows:
- Kerba by one 40 MVA, 60/30 KV transformer cell;
- El Afroun by one 40 MVA, 60/30 KV transformer cell;
- Cherchell by one 40 MVA, 60/30 KV transformer cell;
- Oued Sly by one 120 MVA, 220/60 KV transformer cell;
- Tennes replacement of two 40 MVA, 60/30 KV transformers.
The substations will be fitted with high performances primary equipment with high electric and mechanical endurance, endowed with surveillance and diagnosis systems that allow faults detection and faults elimination in due time, avoiding, in this way, programmed unavailability.
The provision of such equipment allowed the introduction of an up-to-date system for the substation management which based on sequence commands control connection, disconnection or switch of a cell from one system to another.
The control and protection installations are performed in an integrated control and protection system with a decentralized, distributed, hierarchical architecture.
The system main components are performed with digital equipment.
